About Candace:

With 25 years of experience in secondary education, Candace devoted herself to understanding student culture through class and club sponsorships, speech and debate coaching, and the cultivation of student leadership. Her passion for creating meaningful learning experiences led to hands-on projects that encouraged measurable growth and consistently brought out the best in her students. This work deepened her dedication to personal development and effective communication.

In 2002, when her husband received international recognition, Candace was introduced to a new world of travel, formal events, and elevated social expectations. She soon became aware of how uncomfortable she felt in unfamiliar social settings—and how much she had assumed that good manners were simply innate. That realization ignited a desire to study etiquette and protocol with purpose and depth.

What began as a personal journey soon evolved into professional calling. After earning certification in etiquette and protocol—and experiencing a transformative moment of ease and enjoyment at a formal event in Scotland in 2012—Candace became convinced of the power and value of these skills. She knew then that she wanted to help others experience that same sense of confidence and composure. Through Etiquette for the Business of Life, she now offers practical, respectful instruction in etiquette, communication, and protocol tailored to both individuals and groups. Her weekly publication, The Etiquette Blog, features over 525 articles with clear, actionable solutions to social and workplace challenges. For Candace, the greatest discovery is this: etiquette isn’t just about rules about empowering people to navigate both every day and extraordinary moments with confidence and grace.
