Rat Pack’s Playground of 1960s

Rat Pack’s Playground of 1960s

The above video is a great look at one of our favorite places – Palm Springs, California.

Desert winds, mountain landscapes, world-class golf courses are just a few of the notable attractions to this oasis 100 miles due east of Los Angeles.  Mid-century modernism is the predominate architecture.  In the 1960s, Palm Springs was also the playground to the infamous “Rat Pack” lead by Frank Sinatra.  His compound, dubbed Twin Palms, reportedly had a flagpole between its two signature trees, which Mr. Sinatra used to let friends know it was cocktail hour when he hoisted a Jack Daniels flag! You can now rent his house for $2,500 per night and party like Frank and Dean are still here.
